About
🛠️The GarageWorn Story (formally Vintage AirCooled Rides)
The Origin
GarageWorn started in a garage. Not metaphorically-literally. It began with a single collection: a tribute to air-cooled German cars. You know, the ones that leak oil, run slow, break constantly, and cost a fortune to maintain. The people who love these cars are afflicted-they can't explain why they do it, but they can't stop.
We made shirts for them (and that we would wear ourselves). Deadpan, insider, honest. "AIR-KOOLED SPEEDSHOP", "If it ain't leaking, it's empty." "Choose your carbs wisely." Designs that made people laugh and nod-yeah, that's me.
The air-cooled crowd responded. But so did others who love cars. And motorcycle riders. And hot rod builders. And mechanics. And welders and fabricators. Because the affliction isn't vehicle-specific—it's universal.
The garage is the place. The devotion is the bond. So we expanded. Not away from our roots, but deeper into the truth: garage life is hard, irrational, expensive, and totally worth it. And the people who live it deserve apparel that honors it.
The Name
GarageWorn isn't just a name-it's a state of being.
- Garage = The sacred space where identity is forged and creativity happens
- Worn = The physical evidence of devotion (clothes worn from work, pride worn openly)
Garage-worn clothes carry oil stains that won't wash out. Garage-worn people carry scars that won't fade. Both are badges of honor. We make apparel for the garage-worn, by the garage-worn.
The Symbol
The eagle guarding the garage isn't decorative-it's meaningful.
- The eagle = Automotive heritage, freedom, independence, strength
- The garage = Sacred space, protected and honored
- The guardian posture = Respect for what happens inside
The garage isn't just a building. It's where projects live, dreams take shape, and identity is earned. The eagle stands watch over it-because what happens in the garage matters.
